A community raffle to support the recovery of an injured Nez Perce County firefighter raised thousands of dollars.
The raffle for Jimmy Ralston, conducted by the Lewiston Firefighters Charitable Foundation, in collaboration with Snake River Arms and Back the Blue LCV sold 980 raffle tickets, and accepted cash donations, to raise $20,000 to assist the Ralston family during his recovery.
The highlight of the charity raffle was the donation from Snake River Arms – the winner’s choice of a Ruger SFAR 7.62 x 51mm Rifle or a Savage Arms 110 Ultralite 6.5 PRC Rifle.
Ralston was injured while battling a wildland fire in mid May.
