WHITMAN COUNTY, WA – KXLY – Eastern Washington ranchers are on high alert after a bull was shot and castrated while grazing in a pasture last weekend.

“I don’t know why someone would do it. I have no idea,” according to Rod Mills, owner of R&J Ranch and Livestock, located at Mohs Ranch on Rock Lake Road.

Someone reported the dead bull on Friday night, and on Saturday, Rod went out to find it and discovered the extent of the killing, KXLY reports.
