UPDATE:

BOISE, ID – The jury in the murder trial of 49-year-old Lori Vallow Daybell reached a unanimous guilty verdict on all counts, including murder for the killings of her children and conspiring to murder her new husband’s previous wife.

Judge Steven Boyce said a sentencing hearing has not been set and it could be several months before one can be held. Vallow Daybell could face life in prison. She and her husband, 54-year-old Chad Daybell were indicted on multiple counts two years ago, but are being tried separately.

BOISE, ID – The reading of the verdict in State v. Vallow is expected to begin at 11:45 a.m. (PDT) today in Courtroom 400 of the Ada County Courthouse in Boise. The reading will be live-streamed by the court through Judge Boyce’s YouTube page.

Earlier this week, Judge  Boyce approved a request from media outlets to broadcast the verdict in the Lori Vallow Daybell murder trial because of the increased public interest in the case.

Daybell is charged with murder, conspiracy, and grand theft in the deaths of her two children, 16-year-old Tylee Ryan and 7-year-old JJ Vallow. She is also charged with conspiracy in connection with the death of Tammy Daybell, her new husband’s previous wife. Chad Daybell is charged with murder for the same three deaths.

The children’s remains were found on June 9, 2020. They had been buried in shallow graves in Daybell’s backyard in Rexburg. They were last seen alive in September 2019.
