MOSCOW, ID – KXLY – The four University of Idaho students who were murdered in November will be honored with posthumous degrees at Saturday’s graduation commencement ceremonies. According to KXLY 4 News, Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Ethan Chapin, and Xana Kernodle will all receive degrees in their respective fields.
Mogen will receive her bachelor’s degree in marketing and Goncalves will receive her bachelor’s degree in general studies. Chapin and Kernodle will be receiving certificates in recreation, sport, and tourism management and marketing respectively.
Guadalupe Ruiz, a U of I student killed in a car crash last August, will also be receiving a posthumous bachelor’s degree in criminology.
