LEWISTON, ID – Snake River Adventures says their barn at Garden Creek Ranch which housed their gift shop, dining hall, and riverview deck was destroyed in a fire over the weekend. The jet boat tour company posted on its Facebook page that there were no injuries from the fire along the Snake River upstream from Heller Bar.
The company says this will not change any of their future tours, although they won’t be able to stop there for a few weeks while the cleanup takes place.
“Yesterday we were rocked hard at SRA. We had an unimaginable loss at Garden Creek Ranch. Our barn that housed our gift shop, dining hall and our riverview deck burnt to the ground. We aren’t 100% sure what started it in the middle of the night, but it was a total loss. So many guests have come through these doors and so many memories have been made there. We are so very thankful that no one was hurt. A huge thank you to everyone who jumped in to help and transported people around Sunday. This will only make us stronger,” Snake River Adventures says on their Facebook page.
