LEWISTON, ID – Two Lewiston residents who were arrested in late November on local drug charges have been indicted by a federal grand jury in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Washington State. Kimberlee Perrigo (39) and Joshua Hescock (33) were indicted on two counts: Conspiracy to Distribute 40 Grams or More of Fentanyl and Possession With Intent to Distribute 40 Grams or More of Fentanyl.
“On a day unknown, but by on or about September 2022 and continuing to November 20, 2022, in the Eastern District of Washington and elsewhere, the Defendents…did knowingly and intentionally combine, conspire, confederate and agree together with each other to commit” the alleged crimes, court documents say.
Each charge carries a minimum of five years and a maximum of 40 years in prison, no less than four years of supervised release, and up to a $5 million fine.
Perrigo made her first appearance from Richland, Washington via video conference. She entered a “not guilty” plea.
Prosecutors made a motion for detention and it was granted. A detention hearing will be held on Tuesday and Perrigo will remain in custody until further order of the Court.
In November, the pair were arrested by the Quad Cities Drug Task Force following a year-long investigation during which detectives had reportedly received information that they were selling large amounts of Fentanyl pills in the Lewis-Clark Valley and trafficking the pills from Spokane.
A GPS tracking device was placed on their vehicle and detectives reportedly observed the car making several trips to Spokane and around the LC Valley, including an Asotin County storage unit after a trip to Spokane on November 20th.
A traffic stop was conducted a short time later and a K9 officer alerted on the car. In addition to nearly a hundred fentanyl pills, detectives allegedly located marijuana and paraphernalia. The task force obtained a search warrant for the storage unit and allegedly found 1,000 fentanyl pills inside.
