Pullman Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Accident Near Washington-Idaho Border

A Pullman man was killed last (Sun) night as a result of a single-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 195 in Whitman County near the Washington-Idaho border.

According to the Washington State Patrol, 80-year-old Munir Daud was driving north just after 7 p.m. when his 2003 Chevy Trailblazer veered across the southbound lane and went off the roadway. His vehicle then went down a steep embankment, then back up before colliding with an uphill dirt embankment.

Daud was declared dead at the scene. He was wearing a seat belt, and no other vehicles were involved.
