SPOKANE, WA – Following Washington State’s semi-automatic rifle ban, multiple groups have filed lawsuits against the state attorney general’s office. According to KXLY and court documents, the National Rifle Association, Sharp Shooting Gun Shop in Spokane, National Shooting Sports Foundation, and others are challenging the state’s ban on assault-style weapons.

Washington became the 10th state in the U.S. to ban semi-automatic rifles after Governor Jay Inslee signed House Bill 1240 yesterday. It blocks the sale, manufacture, and importation of assault weapons in the state.
