TROY, ID – A structure fire in Troy Saturday afternoon claimed the life of one person. Latah County Sheriff’s Office deputies and members of the Troy Fire Department responded to a structure fire on South Front Street at 5:23 p.m.
“The first fire fighting units arrived 5 minutes after the initial call to 911. After the fire was extinguished, it was determined that a deceased male was located inside the residence,” a press release says.
Sheriff’s Office Detectives and a member of the Idaho State Fire Marshal’s office arrived on the scene sometime later.
At this point, it does not appear that foul play is involved in the fire or the deceased individual. The name of the deceased will not be released until the conclusion of the investigation.
