LC State Baseball Checks in at No. 16 in Latest NAIA Poll

Lewis-Clark State Baseball fell three spots to No. 16 in the latest NAIA top 25 poll, released on Wednesday. The Warriors remained the highest ranked team in the Cascade Conference with UBC receiving votes.

LC State is 6-2 since the last poll after splitting with the College of Idaho and sweeping Eastern Oregon. The Warriors are currently fourth in the conference standings behind Oregon Tech, UBC and Bushnell. After taking this weekend off, the Warriors will face Central Washington in a single game next Wednesday in Ellensburg, Washington before meeting Bushnell in Springfield, Oregon to close out the regular season Friday and Saturday, April 28 and 29.

LC leads the CCC in slugging (.551), on-base percentage (.416), RBI (296), home runs (66) and total bases (733). On the mound, the Warriors top the Cascade in ERA (4.48), saves (10) and pick-offs (14). LC has allowed the least amount of hits (338) and walks (116). On the national level, the Warriors are 10th in the home runs.

Individually, Nick Seamons leads the conference in slugging (.707) and home runs (14).
