LEWISTON, ID – Starting Wednesday, drivers should plan for street closures and detours at the intersection of 10th Street and Burrell Avenue while work is being performed at the intersection. A mini-roundabout will be constructed at this intersection to help improve traffic flow and safety.
“This project has been identified as a top priority in the Transportation Capital Improvement Plan for several years now, and with continued growth in the Orchards, it will only get more congested at that intersection,” Public Works Director Dustin Johnson says. “These improvements will help keep traffic moving and will be a safer alternative for pedestrians.”
The hours of operation for this project will generally be between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday until the anticipated completion date in early May.
The $380,000 project is locally funded and does not have grant funding. Western Construction of Lewiston, Inc. was chosen as the contractor.
