LEWISTON, ID – Law enforcement officials are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 51-year-old Lewiston man who failed to turn himself in Thursday night to begin serving his prison sentence. Ronnie G. Fortson had pled guilty to Felony-Stalking in the First Degree in December and was sentenced by Idaho District 2 Judge Michelle Evans on Thursday.

“During the sentencing hearing, Judge Evans sentenced Mr. Fortson to a RIDER program of up to 365 days and the remaining time of five years of probation if successful. Mr. Fortson was ordered to turn himself into the Nez Perce County Detention Center by March 2 at 5PM,” a press release says.

Fortson failed to turn himself in and an arrest warrant was issued. Evans issued a no bond felony arrest warrant on Friday.

The Nez Perce County Prosecutor’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating Fortson. If you know where he is, please call your local law enforcement office (Lewiston Police Department: 208-746-0171/Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office 208-799-3131).
