Lewis-Clark State’s Emily Collins and Geraldin Correa earned provisional marks for indoor track and field nationals at the Whitworth Open in Spokane on Saturday.
Collins, a freshman and Lewiston native, set the LC State record in the 400m with a time of 58.04. The mark was more than a second faster than her previous career-best and earned a B qualifying standard. She placed fourth at the meet and won her heat.
Geraldin Correa also earned a provisional mark for her run in the 800m. Her time of 2:16.90 is the second-fastest ever by a Warrior and was second-best at the meet.
The Warriors will compete at Eastern Oregon’s first meet in its new facility in La Grande on Saturday.
