Former Grangeville Woman Arrested on Embezzlement Charge; White Bird Man Arrested For Domestic Battery

GRANGEVILLE, ID – The Idaho County Sheriff’s Office made two felony arrests over the weekend. According to a press release, a former Grangeville woman was arrested in Central Washington in connection with an alleged embezzlement case at a local Grangeville business; and a White Bird man was arrested on domestic battery.

On January 13th, a warrant was issued for grand theft by the Idaho County District Court.

“Idaho County detectives had been investigating a reported case of embezzlement at a local Grangeville business and at the conclusion, requested a warrant be issued,” officials say.

As a result, 44-year-old Rebecca Warden was arrested in Ellensburg on a felony charge of grand theft.

On January 9th, Idaho County deputies were advised of a domestic altercation which occurred in the White Bird area.

“Deputies requested a warrant from Idaho County District Court, who then issued a felony warrant for domestic battery on January 13, 2023,” the press release states.

On January 13th, 72-year-old Richard Dunford was arrested in White Bird on a felony domestic battery charge.
