LEWISTON, ID – The public is invited to a Holiday open house hosted by a local pet rescue group. Helping Hands Rescue will have hors d’oeuvres, cookies, punch and other goodies. The event will take place Wednesday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the building next to the old Shopko and the Dollar Tree 2016 Thain Grade in Lewiston. There will also be a craft boutique for Holiday shopping.
Helping Hands Rescue is a volunteer-based non-profit organization located in the Lewis-Clark Valley. In 2022, volunteers have rescued more than 230 dogs/puppies and 430 cats/kittens.
“We have observed a great need in our community to assist, rescue, foster, provide medical care and love for the unwanted, homeless, neglected and abused animals in the Lewis-Clark Valley and surrounding areas,” the group says on its website.
