CLARKSTON, WA – The Lewis Clark Valley Chamber of Commerce 36th Annual Lighted Christmas Parade is this Saturday beginning at 4:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “A Hometown Christmas.” Parade Community Safety Sponsors are Idaho Central Credit Union, Lancer Lanes & Casino, and Pacific Steel & Recycling.

Officials say Diagonal Street will be closed from 2nd Street to 5th Street between 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.; and 6th Street will be closed between 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Parking is not allowed on 6th Street the day of the parade. Any motorized parade entries are asked to enter the parade line-up route from 2nd and Diagonal.

There will be a disruption to traffic flow beginning at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.

“We ask that you plan accordingly and drive with caution as there will be many pedestrians on the streets. Street will be closed from Bridge Street to Chestnut Street between 2nd and 7th (this includes Diagonal Street),” a press release states.

The participants will line up on Diagonal Street and the parade will proceed west to 6th Street (Highway 129). At 6th Street it will head south and go past Chestnut Street and end.

If you are in the parade, you are asked to enter Diagonal Street from 2nd Street and “one of our many wonderful volunteers will assist you with finding your place,” officials add.
