Two Clarkston Residents Among Those Injured in Canyon County Collision

CANYON COUNTY, ID – Idaho State Police Troopers are investigating a three-vehicle collision which occurred at approximately 7:40 a.m. this morning on US 95 near Anderson Corner Road in Canyon County. Two elderly Clarkston residents were among those injured.

According to a press release, a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado was driving eastbound on US20/26 toward US 95, and a 2021 Toyota Venza was driving southbound on US 95, when the Chevy failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection and struck the Toyota.

“Upon impact, the Toyota crossed into the northbound lane of US95 and struck a 2020 Hyundai Sonata, which was driving northbound on US95,” the release says.

The Toyota was occupied by a 79-year-old male driver and a 78-year-old female passenger, both from Clarkston; the Chevy was occupied by a 37-year-old male driver and a 27-year-old male passenger, both from Nyssa, Oregon. The Hyundai was driven by a 45-year-old female from Parma, Idaho.

The driver of the Chevy and all occupants of the Toyota and Hyundai were transported to local hospitals by ground ambulance.

All occupants in the vehicles were wearing their seatbelts.

US 95 was blocked for approximately two hours while emergency crews worked to clear the scene.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
