Gonzaga men roll past North Florida in season opener

Drew Timme had 22 points and Julian Strawther added 16 as the 2nd ranked Gonzaga men’s basketball team opened the regular season with a 104-63 win over North Florida last (Mon) night in Spokane.

Transfer Malachi Smith had 15 points and 6 rebounds and three other Bulldogs scored in double figures in the win.

The Zags will have much tougher test Friday when they travel to San Diego to meet Michigan State. The game will be played aboard the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln with tip-off at 3:30 p.m. and coverage on ESPN.
