The sentencing dates have been delayed again for a father and son convicted of killing a Lewiston man in January of 2021.
Clyde Ewing will be sentenced on his first-degree murder conviction December 1st, while the sentencing for his son, Demetri Ewing won’t happen until after the first of the year.
Sentencing has been delayed multiple times as both convicted murderers await mitigation reports.
Clyde Ewing and his attorneys have received the reports but need more time to analyze them.
Demetri Ewing and his defense team are still awaiting the reports and will need 60 to 90 days to go over them once they do. A status hearing for Demetri Ewing has been scheduled for January 19.
Clyde Ewing and Demetri Ewing were convicted last spring in two separate trials for the shooting death of Samuel Johns in January 2021 at Johns’ Lewiston residence. (Lewiston Tribune)
