Lewiston Fire Chief Travis Myklebust has announced his plan to retire next spring.
Myklebust has been with the fire department for over three decades. At 18 years-old, he was the youngest firefighter ever hired by the department. He was part of the city’s first paramedic class and took part in the early phases of a state hazmat team.
Myklebust has served as Lewiston’s Fire Chief for the past 8 ½ years. His final day will be May 31, 2023 – which is also his 50th birthday.
