Former Gonzaga star Marco Gonzales got a no decision, but was adequate, and able to help save arms. The lefthander allowed 3 earned runs on 8 hits with 5 strikeouts over 7 innings.
Righthander Erik Swanson struck out 2 of the 3 batters he faced in the 9th inning to pick up his 3rd win this season.
The Mariners are traveling today (Thur) and will open their best-of-three Wild Card Playoff series in Toronto tomorrow (Fri) afternoon at the Rogers Center.
