Clarkston residents will once again be deciding the fate of an Emergency Medical Service levy when the November election rolls around.
The annual EMS levy goes to a vote Nov. 8 to help fund ambulance services within city limits.
According to Clarkston officials, for 2023, the cost per $1,000 of assessed valuation for property owners is estimated at $1.11, which is a decrease from the $1.30 per $1,000 charged in 2022.
If approved, the EMS levy will provide more than $636,000 to help finance emergency medical services.
Ballots will be mailed to registered voters next month, and must be returned to the auditor’s office by the election deadline. (Lewiston Tribune)
