One person was injured in a single vehicle collision about a mile west of Pullman on Pullman Albion Rd. Monday afternoon.
According to a release from the Whitman County Sheriff’s Office, investigators believe the driver of a late model Toyota Prius was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed when she lost control of her vehicle. As the driver attempted to correct her actions, she then crossed over into the opposite lane of travel, driving off the roadway and causing the vehicle to roll several times. Emergency crews from the Albion and Pullman Fire Department’s responded to the incident.
The driver was flown via Life Flight to Spokane for what are believed to be serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators believe speed was a major factor in this collision. It also appears the driver was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash. The investigation into the incident is ongoing. (Whitman County Sheriffs)
