Tony Kemp homered and drove in three runs and five Oakland pitchers combined on a one-hitter as the A’s beat the Seattle Mariners 4-1 last night in Oakland.
J.P. Sears got the win for the A’s. The lefthander allowed one unearned run on one hit with 7 strikeouts over 5 innings.
Carlos Santana had the Mariners’ lone hit.
Former Lewis-Clark State star Seth Brown was 0-3 with one walk for Oakland.
