Washington State linebacker Daiyan Henley has been named the Pac-12 Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
Henley had a career day in the 38-7 win over Colorado State, recording a career-high 13 tackles including three sacks and two forced fumbles. The three sacks were a career-high, the most by any Pac-12 player this season and the first three-sack game by a Coug since Hercules Mata’afa at Utah in 2017. The graduate transfer from Nevada led a Cougar defense who held Colorado State to just seven points and 249 yards of total offense.
Wazzu opens Pac-12 play Saturday at home when the Cougs host 15th ranked Oregon at Martin Stadium.
