New report ranks Lewis-Clark State 7th in West for value, U of I #1 among universities

Lewis-Clark State was named a top 10 public regional college in the West and was in the top 10 for Best Value in regional Colleges in the West in the 2022-23 rankings released this week by U.S. News and World Reports.

LC State also received accolades for having one of the best undergraduate degree nursing programs and for its social mobility.

The organization ranked Lewis-Clark State as the 7th Best Value School in the West Region, which included 102 colleges in both the West and Southwest. LC State was the highest ranked public college located west of Oklahoma and its ranking is up one spot from a year ago.

The rankings continue a strong tradition of honors for the college by U.S. News & World Report. LC State has been ranked as the No. 1 public college in the West twice and is regularly ranked among the top 10 public colleges and top 25 public and private colleges in the West.

Meanwhile, The University of Idaho ranked #1 for the best value among public universities in the West.

It’s the third year in a row U of I has occupied the top spot for value in the West.
