Former Lewis-Clark State star Damek Mitchell has signed a professional basketball contract with Academia EFAPEL Coimbra in Coimbra, Portugal.

Mitchell was a three-time NAIA All-American at LC State, and was also named the Cascade Conference Player of the Year and Male Athlete of the Year in his senior season after leading the Warriors to the national title game.
The native of Bellingham, Washington left his mark in the record books as the all-time leader in assists and 3-pointers made. He is second in free throws made and total wins, third in scoring, tied for fifth in games played, sixth in rebounds, eighth in steals and ninth in 3-point field goal percentage.
