Individuals and organizations donated $64.6 million to University of Idaho in Fiscal Year 2022, topping the previous year’s record of $54.5 million.

Comprised of direct donations, pledges, gifts-in-kind, bequests and other types of gifts, $24.8 million of the $64.6 million total will fund student scholarships and programs designed to advance student success in studies and co-curricular activities. The remaining $39.8 million was given to support faculty, research activities, facilities and programs across the university. Fiscal Year 2022 began July 1, 2021 and ended June 30, 2022.

In October 2021, U of I launched the public phase of its comprehensive fundraising campaign, “Brave. Bold. A Promise to Idaho’s Students,” which emphasized the need for increased private financial support for students. The “Brave. Bold.” campaign began in 2015 and has raised a total of $335.7 million, with $96 million dedicated to student scholarships.

In October 2022, U of I will launch the fundraising campaign’s second phase, which is expected to run until 2025. The “Brave. Bold. Unstoppable.” phase will focus on raising private support for research, faculty, programs and facilities, in addition to student scholarships. (U of I)
