Asotin County Library to act as cooling center

The Asotin County Library’s Downtown Branch is acting as a cooling center and is welcoming those who need a break from the heat to visit and cool off.

According to a news release, the public can stay in the air-conditioned library as long as needed during normal hours of operation.

The Downtown Branch at 417 Sycamore St. is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The Heights Branch at 2036 Fourth Ave. is closed until Monday.
