A home south of Clarkston was destroyed after a fire erupted Wednesday afternoon.
The blaze started around 1 p.m. at 2059 Crestview Drive and by the time crews from the Asotin County Fire District arrived, half the structure was engulfed.
Firefighters were successful in keeping the fire from spreading, but the house was destroyed.
One occupant of the home was taken to the hospital by ambulance for burns to his arms, and four firefighters suffered from over-exertion, but didn’t require medical attention.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
