Asotin man sentenced for drug crimes

An Asotin man has been sentenced to 144 months in prison for methamphetamine crimes committed in Asotin County.

53-year-old Timothy Torrez had previously been found guilty at trial of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, and conspiracy to commit possession with intent to deliver, both felonies.

His case dates back to 2018, when Torrez was arrested following a lengthy narcotics investigation by the Quad Cities Drug Task Force. According to a probable cause affidavit, at the time of his arrest, detectives located approximately 116 grams in his possession.

Last month, his girlfriend, 27-year-old Roberta Jones of Lewiston, was sentenced to 42 months in prison for related crimes. She also was found guilty of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, and conspiracy to commit possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver in Asotin County. (Lewiston Tribune)
