Luis Rengifo homered and the Angels got both their runs in the 7th inning as the Los Angeles Angels beat the Seattle Mariners 2-1 Sunday in Anaheim.
Abraham Toro hit his 7th homerun of the season to account for Seattle’s lone run.
Former Gonzaga star Marco Gonzales took a tough loss for the M’s. The lefthander allowed 2 runs on five hits with 5 strikeouts in 6 innings-plus of work.
The game was marred by a brawl that saw 8 ejections – four for each team, including both managers.
The Mariners won two out of the three games in the series, but saw their 5 game win streak end.

Meanwhile, former Lewis-Clark State standout Seth Brown had a homerun, a double and a run-batted-in to help the Oakland A’s beat Kansas City 5-3. It was Brown’s team-leading 10th homer of the season.
