The Lewis-Clark State College Teacher Education & Mathematics Division, in partnership with the Lewiston School District, has created two scholarships for Lewiston High School graduates starting this fall.

The Teacher Preparation Scholarship provides funds for Lewiston High graduates who are seeking a bachelor’s degree in elementary or secondary education at LC State. To qualify, a student must have a minimum high school or college 3.0 GPA and be enrolled full-time at the college. Provisional admission to LC State’s Teacher Education program is required during the junior year. This scholarship is for $5,000 annually and can be renewed as long as requirements are met.

The Teach for Lewiston Scholarship is for LHS graduates who are in the third year of the LC State Teacher Education program and are willing to work in the Lewiston School District upon completion of the program. The scholarship provides $2,500 for each of the final two semesters. As with the previous scholarship, a student must have a minimum high school or college 3.0 GPA, be enrolled full-time and have provisional admission to the Teacher Education program.
