Gonzales pitches Mariners past A’s

Engenio Suarez, Taylor Trammell, Julio Rodriguez and Jesse Winker all homered as the Seattle Mariners beat the Oakland A’s 8-2 last night at Ring Central Coliseum.

Former Gonzaga star Marco Gonzales picked up the win. The left-hander allowed 2 runs on 7 hits over 7 innings to improve to 4-7 on the year.

Ty France added three more hits for Seattle.

Former Lewis-Clark State standout Seth Brown was given the game off and didn’t play.

Game two of the three-game series is set for 6:40 tonight (Wed) in Oakland with live coverage in the LC Valley on 93.1 FM and 1350 AM KRLC and in the upper Clearwater Valley on AM 1300 KLER.
