Two people were injured early Sunday morning along U.S. Highway 95 south of Grangeville.

Idaho State Police say the 21-year-old male driver of the vehicle apparently fell asleep around 3:10 a.m. near milepost 237. The vehicle crossed the centerline and traveled off an embankment where it overturned.

Both the driver and the female passenger were transported, by ambulance to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries. Neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt. The investigation is ongoing by the Idaho State Police.
