Trout powers Angels past Mariners

Mike Trout homered twice with two outs and drove in all four runs in leading the Los Angeles Angels past the Seattle Mariners 4-1 last night at T-Mobile Park.

Shohei Ohtani picked up the win on the mound for the Angels. The right-hander didn’t allow a run on 3 hits with 6 strikeouts in 6 innings of work.

Seattle’s J.P. Crawford had an RBI double in the loss.

The Mariners squandered another strong start from one of their pitchers. George Kirby fell to 1-2 on the year after allowing two runs on 6 hits with 6 strikeouts over 6 innings.

Game two of the four-game series is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. tonight (Fri) from T-Mobile Park with live coverage in the LC Valley on 93.1 FM and 1350 AM KRLC and in the upper Clearwater Valley on AM 1300 KLER.
