Trial date set for Lewiston teen charged with attempted murder

The trial date has been set for a Lewiston teen charged with two counts of attempted murder.

14-year-old Tristan Arnzen was arraigned in 2nd District Court Thursday and a jury trial has been set for December 5th.

Arnzen is charged with allegedly shooting his stepfather, George Hamblin Jr., and his stepsister, Macayla Hamblin, on February 27th on the 600 block of Bryden Drive in Lewiston.

Arnzen is being tried as an adult and faces up to 15 years in prison or a fine of $50,000. He also has an extended sentencing for the use of a firearm in the attempted murder charge, which would extend the sentence for a maximum of 15 years.

Chloe Marks, who is also 14, is also charged with attempted murder for the alleged shooting of George Hamblin. Her next court appearance is June 23. (Lewiston Tribune)
