The Idaho Transportation Department has re-opened the northbound lane on a section of U.S. Highway 95 that had collapsed following heavy rains over the weekend south of Lapwai.
Crews brought in heavy equipment to station large boulders against the eroded area and stabilize the bank. Asphalt pavement and more permanent repairs are planned for later this summer.
