LC State Men’s Basketball announced the addition of three more difference makers ahead of the 2022-23 season.

Anthony Peoples Jr., Erick Chaney and Quentin Raynor will join the Warriors in the fall.

Peoples, a redshirt freshman transfer from The Master’s, comes to LC State from Eastvale, Calif., and Corona’s Centennial High School. He was part of the Huskies’ 2021 CIF State Championship team.

Chaney, a 6-0 guard, joins the Warriors after a standout high school career at Bakersfield Christian High School in Bakersfield, Calif., where he was a two-time All-South Yosemite League selection. He helped the Eagles to two Central Section Championships and averaged 18 points, three assists and two rebounds per game as a senior.

Raynor brings the most experience of the three as a junior transfer from Yakima Valley College. As a sophomore, the 6-1 guard helped lead the Yaks to the 2022 NWAC Tournament Championship. During his two-year career at YVC he averaged 15.5 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game while helping his team win a combined 40 games. Throughout his career, Raynor established himself as one of the best shooters at the junior college level with 210 3-pointers at an average of 43.8 percent. (LC State News)
