The 16th Annual PASS Awards were held Thursday night at Roger Toyota. PASS, or Perfect Attendance Spells Success, featured a barbecue where free bicycles and helmets were presented to sixth-graders who made it to school every day. Owner Ryan Rogers says the celebration started as a way for his business to get involved with the school district.
This year around 50 bikes were handed out. Rogers says the covid-19 pandemic made it harder to determine what was perfect attendance and what wasn’t.
Rogers also says he loves hearing from parents of children who have been rewarded by the program.
