
Senior Dawson Day recorded a career-high 14 strikeouts as the Lewis-Clark State baseball team beat Faulkner of Alabama 7-1 last (Mon) night at the Avista NAIA World Series.

The lefthander combined with sophomore righty Cameron Smith on a one-hitter and set an LC World Series record with 18 combined strikeouts.

Offensively, senior catcher Justin Mazzone had two hits, including a two-run homer and senior centerfielder Sam Linscott added two hits and had two runs-batted-in for the Warriors.
LC improves to 56-5 on the year and will meet top-seed Southeastern of Florida Tuesday night in a battle between the tournament’s lone two unbeaten teams.
