The phones at Clearwater Power have been ringing off the hook recently with calls by customers who have been targeted scammers. Director of Member Relations Jeff Marshall says these phone scams are nothing new.
Marshall says there are numerous warning signs to look for to determine if the call is indeed a scam.
He also says that these phone scams have gotten more sophisticated over the years. During one call reported yesterday, Marshall says the scammer had even recorded Clearwater Power’s phone greeting to sound even more legitimate. But Marshall did have some advice to avoid being scammed.
