Warriors are top seed in 5-team NAIA National Opening Round Tourney

The 5th ranked Lewis-Clark State baseball team is the top-seed in the five-team NAIA Opening Round Tournament presented by Avista that begins Monday at Harris Field.

The Warriors are 51-4 on the year, and will be joined by Doane of Nebraska, Vanguard of California, St. Katherine of California and fellow Cascade Conference member British Columbia in the double-elimination tournament.

As the top-seed, LC gets a bye and will play the winner of the British Columbia/St. Katherine game Monday night at 6 p.m.

The tournament kicks-off at 11 a.m. with St. Katherine and UBC, followed at 2:30 p.m. by Vanguard and Doane.

The tournament champion will advance to the 65th Avista NAIA World Series beginning May 27th also at Harris Field.
