Five north central Idaho cities have been chosen by Idaho Governor Brad Little to receive Community Development Block Grants to improve their city infrastructure.
The city of Moscow will receive $335,000 for the purchase of a new fire truck.
$500,000 grants have been approved for wastewater system improvements for the both the city of Craigmont and the city of Elk River, while the city of Winchester also received $500,000 for replacement of its wastewater treatment plant. The city of Grangeville will receive $500,000 for a water tank and a new municipal well.
A total of 18 grants were awarded statewide totaling an estimated $7 million.
