M’s come up short in series final with Phillies

Rhys Hoskins homered and drove all four runs in for Philadelphia as the Phillies beat the Seattle Mariners 4-2 yesterday (Wed) at T-Mobile Park.

Ty France had two hits and a run-batted-in and Julio Rodriguez had an RBI single in the loss for Seattle.

Logan Gilbert suffered his first loss of the season. The righthander allowed 4 runs on 3 hits with 9 strikeouts over 5 innings.

The Mariners are off today (Thurs) and will open a 3-game interleague series in New York Friday against the Mets.
