Jean Segura homered and had 3 runs-batted-in as Philadelphia shutout the Seattle Mariners 9-0 in the opening game of their 3-game interleague series last night in Seattle.
Ranger Suarez picked up the win. The lefthander allowed no runs on 4 hits with 7 strikeouts over 6 innings, and the Phillies bullpen no-hit the M’s over the final three innings.
Julio Rodriguez had 3 of Seattle’s 4 hits in the game.
Chris Flexen took the loss – allowing 6 runs on 9 hits over 5 innings.
