The Lewiston High baseball team rallied for an 11-5 win over Post Falls in the opening round of the District Tournament yesterday (Mon) at Church Field.
Junior Elliott Taylor went 2-for-3 and had 3 runs-batted-in to give the Bengals the lead and sophomore Carson Kolb overcame a rocky start. Kolb allowed just one run over his final 4 1/3 innings. The righthander wound up with 8 strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings to earn the win.
Lewiston will host Coeur d’Alene today (Tue) for the district championship and an automatic berth into the Idaho State 5-A Tournament for the first time in 3 years.
