Suicide is a serious and widespread problem in Nez Perce County and the state of Idaho, as well as the country at large. Fayth Dickenson, executive director of Suicide Prevention of the Inland Northwest, or SPIN, shed some light on how big the problem is in our region.

To spread awareness about the issue and to raise money to fight it, SPIN will present the Walk for Hope event this Saturday.

Registration for the Walk for Hope will start at 8:30 am on Saturday and the walk will begin at 10 at Kiwanis Park. It’s $15 for adults, $10 for kids ages 6 to 18, and children aged 5 and under get in free.
