Zunino leads Rays past Mariners in series opener

Former Mariner Mike Zunino hit a 3-run homerun in leading the Tampa Bay Rays past the Seattle Mariners 4-3 last night in the opening game of a four-game series in Seattle.

Shane McClanahan picked up the win for Tampa. The left-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits with 5 strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings.

Jesse Winker hit his first homer in a Mariner uniform and Engenio Suarez added a hit and an RBI in the loss.

Game two of the series is set for 6:40 p.m. tonight (Fri) with live coverage in the LC Valley on FM 93.1 and 1350 AM KRLC and in the upper Clearwater Valley on AM 1300 KLER.
