Mariners drop first game in series with Whitesox

Luis Robert homered and scored two runs as the Whitesox held off the Seattle Mariners 3-2 yesterday (Tue) in Chicago.

Engenio Suarez had two hits, including a homer to lead the M’s.

Seattle rookie Matt Brash took the loss, but pitched well – allowing 2 runs on 4 hits with 6 strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings.

Game two of the three-game series gets underway this afternoon at 4:10 p.m. Pacific Time with live coverage in the LC Valley on 93.1 FM and 1350 AM KRLC and in the upper Clearwater Valley on AM 1300 KLER.
